Current status - Estado actual
ENGLISH: It has been some weeks ago since our last newsletter, so let us just update on the latest FOCO activities. 1. We announced the release of a new track on a Mexican Sampler in May, for release in July. Unfortunately, after communicating with the label, we have been told to be a little more patient. Hopefully this compilation (and our song) will be released later this year. Any update on this, we will communicate thru our channels. 2. The band is currently taking a break from recording. We hope to return to the studio soon. We have been working on half a dozen tracks, but there is actually a lot more material to be recorded. This brings us to the next news... 3. Given the progress of our recording process in the last months, and seeing the current release strategy of other artists, it has become more likely, that FOCO will release an EP rather than an album. We feel, that this move makes it easier for us to release music in shorter time lapses, as we don´t have to finish 10 or 12 tracks in a row, but rather 5 or 6. Also, this release policy will reflect, how we as artists develop, in a much better way, as we always try new things all the time, and you won´t have to wait for the result a whole year :-) (which is usually the time it took for us to finish a recording). 4. Nevertheless, we have a very nifty idea for those fans, who prefer an album rather than an EP. We will reveal more, once the EP has been finished and is ready to be released. Habiamos anunciado la publicación de un track nuestro en una recopilación de proyectos mexicanos en mayo, para su publicación en julio 2017. Lamentablemente, después de habernos comunicado con la disquera responsable, se nos ha pedido un poco más de paciencia. Quiere decir, se espera la publicación de este sampler dentro de este año, pero aún no tenemos fecha. En cuando haya novedades al respecto, se las comunicamos por medio de nuestros canales habituales. 2. FOCO ha tomado un descanso de las grabaciones, las cuales serán reanudadas pronto. Hemos trabajado en una media docena de tracks, pero de hecho existe mucho más material a grabar y producir. Eso nos lleva a la siguiente noticia... 3. Dado la forma, como han progresado las grabaciones y observando la política de publicación de otros proyectos, se ha vuelto más probable, que FOCO publicará un EP en lugar de un album entero. Sentimos, que esto nos permitirá poder publicar nueva música nuestra en plazos más cortos, ya que ya no tendremos que terminar 10 o 12 canciones para su publicación, sino solo 5 o 6. También, esta politica reflejará de una mejor manera nuestro desarrollo como artistas. Estamos experimentando con muchas cosas, y tu, nuestro fan, no tendrás que esperar un año entero (que es lo que tardamos en hacer un album) para poder escucharlo. :-) 4. Aún así, tenemos una idea muy interesante para los fans, que prefieren un album en lugar de un EP. Les contaremos más al respeto, cuando nuestro EP este listo para su publicación.
